Wednesday was the warm up. The pre-game. Those who were only invested in having their picture taken probably stayed at home. Those who had four weeks full of shows and travel ahead of them probably rested. But a handful of designers chose September 4th as the day to show their Spring/Summer 2014 collections. The names are usually less well known, but the clothes aren't any less exciting.

Robert Rodriguez there was a futuristic vibe, but it wasn't of the over the top, science fiction variety. It was cold and minimal and sculptural. None of it spoke of spring.
As I look ahead to what I can only assume will be a month full of light and air and saccharine-like sweetness, this collection presented a delightfully moody beginning.
